Hokay, so I started my job today. I wasn’t scared or nervous or anything like that, just ready to get started. Today was mostly just an orientation to the company, who everyone is, what we’ll be doing the next few days and so on. There are currently 4 (5 if you count Dustin who is leaving next week) associates working at the company and when Daniel starts there will be 4 new ones (Me, Lane, and Drew started today). So basically the first 2 weeks are a complete orientation to all the departments and aspects of the company. Basically. Unless you’re like me and will be traveling to Arizona next week. Then your first 2 weeks will be completely different. Apparently I’m going to be attending a training session in Arizona on a program that currently only one other person is trained on. Yay me! I’m excited about the travel and training, perhaps a bit nervous about the training but I’ll just face it head on. So after learning that bit of information, and knowing that my orientation will be dragged out to 3 weeks, I spent the rest of the day with the scheduler and a customer service rep. I still really like scheduling, and based on what I heard today and comments made in the past I’m probably guaranteed a rotation that includes learning the scheduling procedures. 

So tonight I have some materials to look over, some more stuff to sign, and a schedule to learn. And an outfit to pick out. It took me forever to decide what to wear today. Don’t worry I took pictures. But now I have to do that all over again. The good news is that I have tons of choices. The bad news is that I have tons of choices. 

Overall, I’m excited about the job and all the possibilities that are open for me to take advantage of. Hopefully I’ll learn as much as I can this week, go to my training, then come back ready to jump in!
